Places We Live Educator Workshop

Join DCNR Educators for a due educator workshop featuring two lesson planning resources!
Pennsylvania Land Choices is an educational curriculum developed by the PA State Parks as a tool to educate students about land use, land conservation, and sustainable communities. From comparing aerial photographs to designing a park, the lessons provide hands-on, standards-based activities for students in grades 6-12.
Project Learning Tree’s Places We Live provides educators with a useful tool for place-based education to help create a bond between young students and their communities.
Earn 5.5 Act 48 hours while learning about land use, community planning, and community investigations. Each participant will receive the DCNR PA Land Choices curriculum, the Project Learning Tree Places We Live Secondary Ed. Module, and other resources.
