SUMMARY:Introduction to Fishing and Spin Fishing Class
DESCRIPTION:Please read the information below and respond by August 28th to Dave Kamsler at cdkamsler@comcast.net or (717) 495-8451 whether or not you will be attending a class(es)\, or if you have any questions. \n\n\n\nIntroduction to Fishing and Spin Fishing Class \n\n\n\n1.     WHEN – Saturday\, September 6th. Registration – 8:30 am. Class – 9:00 am to 11:30 am. \n\n\n\n2.     WHERE: Orvis Hill Country\, 519 Gladhill Rd\, Fairfield\, PA 17320. The site is about a 25-minute drive from Gettysburg. \n\n\n\n3.     WHAT: \n\n\n\n\nThe Introduction to Fishing segment will cover: Types of Fishing\, Reel Types\, Casting\, Setting the Hook\, Fighting and Landing Fish\, Packing for a Fishing Trip\, Where to Fish\, and Common Knots.\n\n\n\nThe Spin Fishing segment will cover: What is Spin Fishing\, Gear\, Spin Fishing Techniques\, Lures\, Fish Behavior and Safety.\n\n\n\n\n4.     Sessions: The class is planned to be held indoors/outdoors\, starting with a discussion following the topics in a handout. Then casting on the grass and on the water. \n\n\n\nIntroduction to Fly Fishing Class \n\n\n\n1.     WHEN – Saturday\, September 27th. Registration – 8:30 am. Class – 9:00 am to 1:00 pm\, with ½ hour lunch break. \n\n\n\n2.     WHERE: Orvis Hill Country\, 519 Gladhill Rd\, Fairfield\, PA 17320. The site is about a 25-minute drive from Gettysburg. \n\n\n\n3.     WHAT: \n\n\n\n\nSessions: Indoor classroom instruction\, casting practice on grass\, and casting on the pond.\n\n\n\nClassroom instruction: Equipment\, Fly Lines\, Nymph and Dry Fly Fishing\, Techniques\, Knots\, and Trout Menu.\n\n\n\n\nNotes: \n\n\n\nChildren under 18 years old must be accompanied by adult or guardian. \n\n\n\nBring your drinks\, snacks and lunch\, as needed. \n\n\n\nAll gear and equipment will be provided\, but if you have equipment that you would like to use\, feel free to bring it.
