SUMMARY:Tracking Wildflower Climate Resilience with AMC Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy hiking among spring wildflowers?  Interested in documenting the impacts of climate change?  Join us for a FREE webinar:Tracking Wildflower Climate Resilience with AMC: Tap into Community Science with iNaturalist\, hosted by Shippensburg University’s Center for Land Use and Sustainability and the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC). \n\n\n\nAMC scientists will share how you can contribute to research focusing on the climate resilience of spring wildflowers in the deciduous forests of the Appalachians. Using iNaturalist\, an online community science platform\, you can help AMC track wildflower phenology (the timing of events like leaf emergence and flowering) along the Appalachian Trail corridor. \n\n\n\nDuring this webinar you will learn: \n\n\n\n· The wildflower species that are the focus of this project \n\n\n\n· How to join iNaturalist for documentation and species identification \n\n\n\n· How to make observations using the app \n\n\n\n· How your observations contribute to AMC’s research \n\n\n\n· How AMC researchers curate iNaturalist observations to study shifts in plant phenology \n\n\n\nFind more information and register HERE.
