Have you ever wondered if there were glaciers in Pennsylvania? Or, what animals and plants lived here during the Ice Age? What secrets do the current ice sheets hold? Join us as we take a deep dive into the science of the Ice Age! Geologist Rose-Anna Behr will discuss how scientists use various tools and techniques to study fossils and deposits, and how studying ocean currents and the orbit of the earth affects climate change.
Rose-Anna Behr received her M.S. in geology from New Mexico Tech. She worked six years as a park naturalist in York County. She is now a senior geologic scientist for the Pennsylvania Geological Survey in the Groundwater and Environmental section.
