StoryWalk® Event – August 2025

Join Buttonwood for an evening with the fireflies! The evening will begin with a lantern-lighted walk along the trails as we read Fireflies, Fireflies, Light my Way by Jonathan London.
After the story, we will convene at the fire pit for some summer s’mores!
Inspired by a Native American lullaby, Fireflies, Fireflies, Light my Way is a lyrical story illustrated with luminous paintings. It is an irresistible invitation to children to follow the fireflies to a magical nighttime place where turtles play, bullfrogs leap, and animals swim.
Paintings and rhymes combine to entertain the reader while reflecting an appreciation of the interconnectedness of life.
