Summer Saturday Herp Hike

June 21 @ 9:00 am 11:00 am

Head out on a hike through the woods with Buttonwood educators as we look for reptiles and amphibians.

Learn about different adaptations that these classes of animals have made to survive in the wild.

Everyone should wear clothing and footwear that can get dirty.

What is a Herp? Herpetology is a branch of zoology concerned with the study of amphibians (including frogs, salamanders and more) and reptiles (including snakes, lizards, turtles and others). In herpetology, “herp” is a shortened, informal term for reptiles and amphibians.
