Textile Arts and Nature Day Camp 2025
July 30 @ 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
A day of creativity and learning new skills. In the morning, students learn skills with textiles and create special items to take home. Afternoon nature activities include a hike and nature craft.
In the morning (9–noon), students learn both wet and dry felting techniques, followed by weaving—creating their own pot holder on a special loom.
During dry felting, campers will make animal or flower shapes, and create a landscape scene.
They will also make a wet-felted container to hold trinkets or jewelry.
After a lunch break, participants will enjoy a hike and several nature activities as we connect textiles to nature.
