This position’s responsibility is to manage a program that focuses on the recovery of native mammalian species currently in decline, to develop active management actions, to coordinate the agency’s implementation of said management actions, and document changes in the impacted species. This will be achieved by monitoring populational trends prioritized toward species of conservation need, researching threats and knowledge gaps associated with these species, and determining the most effective ways to improve the recovery of these species.
