Capital RC&D/The LEAF Project

| Level II Internship Curriculum Development and Implementation for the LEAF Project |

Capital RC&D served as the fiscal sponsor for a project for the LEAF Project. The LEAF Project (Leadership Education and Farming), a farm-based youth development and employment program for youth ages 14 to 18, is intended to engage and inspire youth through the meaningful work of building a healthy local food system. Youth collaboratively work and learn together, and partner with farmers and chefs, to motivate personal and social change while increasing knowledge about and access to locally raised food within communities. This project enabled the LEAF Project to expand its internship program to include a second tier for continued and deeper engagement for a select number of youth who have demonstrated exemplary leadership potential and capacity in completing the initial LEAF summer internship.
