Paulus Farm Market will install educational signs throughout the FarmPark, highlighting
the importance of our region’s agricultural resources. Each sign will list the attraction
(specific animal, garden, field, etc.) as well as basic facts. Varying by location within the
FarmPark, the signs will either be mounted to wooden supports of the fences or secured
to a ground stake. In addition to self-guided youth educational visits, signage would
provide education to the 21,000+ visitors (June 2022-June 2023 reporting). With rapid
residential and commercial development in most areas, keeping the region’s farmlands
active is crucial to maintaining the South Mountain landscape for generations to come.
Agricultural education is needed for the community members to further connect to
our region’s land. To cultivate relationships with and maintain the roots of the South
Mountain region, local foods and agricultural knowledge must be shared.
