Southern Michaux Trail Survey Now Open!

We wanted to share an important opportunity to provide feedback to Michaux State Forest with you.

The South Mountain Partnership has helped fund a study by Shippensburg University Center for Land Use and Sustainability on Southern Michaux trail systems. This work includes assessment of physical trail sustainability, community engagement, and a model recreation map and final report for Michaux State Forest staff to plan trails in the area. However, we need your help to provide feedback on this process. DCNR is seeking public input during this process to create the best sustainable shared-use trail system possible.

You can help in two ways:

  1. Take the survey yourself!
  2. Share the survey with your communities by either sharing online (sample language and graphic below) or printing this poster and putting it in your favorite public space.

Sample Online Language & IMAGE : SHARE YOUR OPINION! Michaux State Forest District is conducting a trail assessment of the trails south of Route 30 in the coming months. DCNR is seeking public input during this process to create the best sustainable shared-use trail system possible. There are a lot of quality trails and recreational opportunities in this section of Michaux. All forest users are invited to provide input! The survey will be open for a limited time!
